This month two female leaders in two of the leading firms in the fintech and e-commerce, Regine Lai, co-founder of WELLNEX and Suet Huay, managing directors of Best Value Mart will be sharing about how two successful startups give back to Singapore.
Wellnex has a straits mission and participate in giving access to healthier lifestyle to Singaporean. Regine Lai will be explaining in details why it is important for Wellnex to have its overall value proposition designed around such vision and ambition. Meanwhile, Best Value Mart (BVM) was founded in 2020 by two Singaporeans. The company was set up in pure B2C model during the initial stage where 100 per cent of sales transactions were made online with island-wide delivery services. BVM owe its success to many loyal customers and corporate clients who have supported the business with repeated orders made regularly. In 2021, Suet Huay, the Managing Director of Best Value Mart introduced eGift-cards exclusively for its corporate clients. It was well received and now made available for individual customisation. Being a responsible company, the team works to reduce wastages and promote sustainability. Also Best Value Mart cares for the environment and the team also eliminate the use of plastic materials whenever possible. The parcels are delivered using clean recycled carton boxes and paper materials are mostly used for gift customization. Finally, one of the main missions of Best Value Mart is also to give back to the society. A fraction of the revenue will always be set aside for a good cause. Best Value Mart uses the fund to support both local and global charity organisations like World Vision, The Singapore Red Cross Society, Food Bank Singapore, Tze Chi Foundation, local nursing homes and many more.
