People of all ages are now looking at protection and health needs with renewed interest, resulting in rising demand. The future looks filled with promise, but caution is advised for both consumers and providers. Leaders came together at LeVeL33 Pte Ltd in Singapore for a roundtable discussion on ‘The new face of insurance: Navigating uncharted territory’.

Here are the results for the month of April 2022: Overall we keep growing steadily in numbers with much more registration of new members. We onboarded 42 New Financial Advisors which is translated into a significant increase in activity:

The superlative networking, with tens of thousands of meetings, is one of the hallmarks of an ITC event.  More than 100 innovators from across the APAC insurance ecosystem will take the stage at ITC Asia 2022. Regine Lai will participate in different conversations and share her views and experiences on the hard truths of founding a startup. Regine Lai has more than 7 years in the insurance industry and 12 years in the business development. No stranger to the world of start-ups, Regine embarked on her first entrepreneurial venture in brand consultancy shortly upon graduation. She has developed a people focused business in retail, banking & finance and insurance for 17 years. She joined the team in late 2017 to bring her strong enthusiasm and experience in setting up from scratch a base of clients She will be speaking about Wellnex and the journey to make it successful.  Matthias de Ferrieres, CEO of WELLNEX joined Asia InsurTech Podcast with fellow entrepreneurs to share about the challenges of innovation in the insurance industry. WELLNEX strives to make a difference in a very conservative environment that needs like any other industry to change, transform itself and become customer centric. WELLNEX is all designed around, for and dedicated to that customer. Matthias de Ferrieres engaged into a controversial discussion with Nicolas Faquet , and Gordon Tay on the difficulties of deploying sustainable solutions in the insurance industry. The three, moderated by Michael Waitze for Asia InsurTech Podcast , shared about the challenges to successfully change an obsolete and slow to move industry. Conservative yet monopolistic incumbents, drastic and complex regulations, product poor value perceptions, and consumer even poorer willingness to pay make extremely difficult insurtechs to truly innovate and even more difficult to sustain despite over funding by VCs.
