The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has developed a cybersecurity certification scheme to recognise organisations with good cybersecurity practices. The Cyber Essentials mark recognises organisations that have put in place cyber hygiene measures. The cybersecurity certification mark promotes greater trust and transparency between organisations and their vendors and suppliers, particularly since these third parties can be ad additional source of cybersecurity risks. According to Matthias de Ferrieres, CEO of My-insurer, it is very important for My-insurer to get that mark as Cyber Essentials is an effective and relevant recognition of the effort made to keep cyber risk under scrutiny.
With the rise of online transactions, data breaches and cyber attacks have become a common occurrence, My-insurer has always been proactive in protecting its systems, data, and reputation by implementing robust security measures. The Cybers Essentials certification demonstrates that My-Insurer and Wellnex have taken the necessary steps to secure its information systems and has the necessary knowledge to identify and prevent cyber threats. Matthias de Ferrieres added: "its sends a strong message to our customers, partners, and investors that Wellnex is committed to protecting sensitive information and data as much as we can" Matthias de Ferrieres confirmed that in an era where data privacy is a major concern, customers are more likely to choose a startup that has taken the necessary steps to secure their information and it is definitively a competitive edge to have obtain it.
